Microsoft word 2016 not responding windows 10 free. Microsoft Word Not Responding? 8 Ways To Fix It

I had to wipe my computer and start from scratch. I bought it from the microsoft website. I downloaded it fine, however every single time I click on a microsoft word document I want to open and edit it says "Microsoft word is not responding" loads for a minute, then goes away.

But opened the document. With Excel is says the same thing but "microsoft excel not responding" and it tries to load but doesnt. Also it wont show a preview. Even if I just click on the document that I have saved didnt open it a screen pops up and says its not responding. I can open a new microsoft word or excel no problem. I have tried to reinstall. Use a repair tool.

I followed a forum to delete certain files and I can not seem to fix the problem. Open Word and Excel, disable the add-ins by following steps mentioned below and then try to open documents and verify the result. Reply with the result and I'll be happy to help you further. I just opened a new word doc and an excel.

Put a few words in each. Saved as. Put them in a folder. Closed them. If I double click on either one of the saved files, it immediately pops up not responding.

I went into both word and excel, did the steps suggested. There was no boxes checked off in the Com-in add. Once in a while, not often, but a few times I get this error pop up. This error just popped up after all afternoon playing around trying to figure it out.
